Welcoming the Stranger, Restoring Hope

Migration and displacement often bring uncertainty, separation, and hardship. Many people are forced to leave their homes because of conflict, persecution, poverty, or other difficult circumstances. As Missionary Benedictine Sisters, we recognize Christ in those who are displaced and in search of safety, belonging, and a new beginning.

Inspired by the Benedictine value of hospitality, we reach out to refugees, migrants, and displaced families through welcome, accompaniment, practical assistance, and community support. Where possible, we help provide shelter, access to basic necessities, opportunities for integration, and assistance in rebuilding their lives.

We seek to create spaces where people of different cultures, nationalities, and backgrounds are received with respect and compassion. Beyond material assistance, we offer the human presence of listening, understanding, and walking alongside those who face the challenges of starting anew.

For us, welcoming refugees and migrants is more than an act of charity. It is an expression of our faith and a commitment to recognize the dignity of every human person.
